NSCC Singapore strives for products and services with the highest levels of security and reliability.

This month, NSCC welcomed a delegation from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) to the ASPIRE 2B Data Centre for the first workshop and guided tour held since the national supercomputer’s launch on 8 June 2026. The visit provided participants with an introduction to how high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming research, innovation and decision-making across sectors.
The programme began with an interactive workshop led by Mr Danny Lim, Director of Technical Operations at NSCC, who explored how organisations can harness AI responsibly and effectively to enhance productivity and solve increasingly complex challenges.

Mr Lim introduced Singapore’s national HPC ecosystem and the role NSCC plays in enabling scientific research through advanced computing infrastructure, user enablement and strategic partnerships. He also provided an introduction to the fundamentals of AI, illustrating through practical case studies how the technology is being applied across diverse domains to enhance productivity, accelerate research and support decision-making.
A key focus of the workshop was the responsible adoption of AI. Mr Lim emphasised the importance of human judgement, validation and trust in AI-enabled systems, noting that while AI can significantly augment decision-making and operational efficiency, it remains a tool that supports, not replaces human expertise.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of the ASPIRE 2B Data Centre, where participants gained an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Singapore’s newest and most powerful national supercomputer supporting the nation’s research and innovation ambitions.

We thank the RSAF delegation for joining us and look forward to welcoming more organisations to the ASPIRE 2B Data Centre as we continue to strengthen awareness and understanding of HPC and AI across Singapore’s research community and industry.
