NSCC Singapore strives for products and services with the highest levels of security and reliability.

The ability to independently optimise and troubleshoot workloads is critical for researchers looking to harness the power of Singapore’s national supercomputing resources. To support this, NSCC recently conducted two advanced workshops to equip our community with the necessary skills to run their workloads more efficiently.
The ASPIRE 2A Advanced Workshop on Optimisation Techniques introduced key concepts and considerations for enhancing the performance of compute-intensive applications Experts from NSCC guided attendees through the underlying hardware and system software, providing practical insights into common performance limitations and techniques to address them.
The ASPIRE 2A+ Advanced Workshop on Profiling and Debugging provided a hands-on introduction to code optimisation and debugging. Participants learned how to identify performance bottlenecks using Nsight Systems, NVTX and PyTorch Profiler and explored debugging tools such as GDB, CUDA-GDB and PDB to optimise their codes and runtime, maximising the output of HPC resources.
By equipping researchers with advanced optimisation and debugging skills, these workshops help users unlock greater performance from their applications, enabling them to tackle larger and more complex research challenges.
