NSCC’s ASPIRE 2B Debuts at Rank 44 and 184 on TOP500 List

NSCC Singapore’s newly launched ASPIRE 2B has made a strong debut on the latest TOP500 rankings (June 2026) of the world’s most powerful supercomputers. Its GPU partition ranked 44th, while its CPU partition ranked 144th, reflecting Singapore’s continued investment in advancing national high performance computing (HPC) capabilities.

Recognised globally as the leading benchmark for supercomputing performance, the TOP500 list ranks the world’s fastest computer systems based on the LINPACK benchmark, providing an internationally recognised measure of computational capability.

Delivering up to 115 petaFLOPS of theoretical peak performance, ASPIRE 2B significantly expands Singapore’s national HPC capacity and is designed to support increasingly AI-driven and data-intensive research. By integrating simulation, large-scale data analytics and artificial intelligence within a single platform, the system enables researchers to tackle more complex scientific challenges across a broad range of disciplines.

ASPIRE 2B is also designed to support the emerging hybrid quantum-classical computing paradigm and is expected to be integrated with Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer, targeted for installation in Singapore by the end of 2026.
