Ms Ho Shuet Ying

Biography

Ms Ho Shuet Ying assumed the role of Senior Director (Smart Nation and Digital Economy) at NRF on 1 July. She leads a team that oversees the national RCD strategies and implementation for Singapore’s investments in AI, quantum, cybersecurity and digital trust and security.

 

Ms Ho has extensive experience in the Information, Communication C Digital Technology domain. Prior to joining NRF, Ms Ho was the Director of Digital Hub at Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), where she led teams to chart out the technology and experimentation roadmaps for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, DevSecOps, Software Engineering and Design Thinking to deliver innovative and transformative digital capabilities for MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces.

 

Before helming Digital Hub, Ms Ho was driving the digitalization strategy and approach as Director Digital Strategy and had held leadership positions in the Infocomm Infrastructure Programme Centre, Cybersecurity Programme Centre and Information Programme Centre in DSTA. Her previous work includes establishing a Secure Software Development Life Cycle framework to ensure that cybersecurity is designed and developed through the software life cycle and developing cybersecurity solutions to protect critical infrastructure such as power systems, communication systems and unmanned systems from cyber attacks.

 

Ms Ho graduated from Imperial College London with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1999 and from Stanford University with a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2000.
