NSCC Singapore strives for products and services with the highest levels of security and reliability.
NSCC Singapore welcomed partners from leading HPC centres—including Japan’s RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) and Switzerland’s Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS)—for a technical workshop to exchange insights on next-generation computing.
Key themes included the rise of AI for science, with deep dives into model serving infrastructure, data readiness, and workflow orchestration across various scientific domains. Discussions also touched on post-exascale platform design—from FugakuNEXT in Japan, to CSCS’s ALPS, and NSCC Singapore’s own roadmap. The session provided valuable perspectives on how different centres are adapting their system architectures, software stacks, and workload management strategies to support increasingly hybrid, AI-enabled workflows.
Beyond technical exchange, the workshop highlighted capability building as a shared priority. From researcher training and onboarding initiatives to national strategies for quantum-readiness and sustainable data centre design, participants shared initiatives aimed at strengthening their respective HPC ecosystems. For NSCC Singapore, such collaborations are crucial to shaping a future-ready national infrastructure that supports Singapore’s research ambitions and enables breakthroughs across science, engineering, and emerging technology domains.
