Built for Scale, Enabling Researchers: March 2026 ASPIRE 2A and ASPIRE 2A+ Introductory Workshops

NSCC Singapore’s supercomputing systems enable researchers to tackle computational workloads at a scale far beyond what conventional computing resources can support. However, the massive computational power is only half the equation—it is as important for users to know how to effectively harness these resources to drive real-world breakthroughs.

Equipping our research community to make that leap is the key focus of NSCC Singapore’s user enablement initiatives. To bridge the gap between initial system access and effective technical execution, we regularly host hands-on Introductory Workshops tailored to our distinct computing environments.

At our monthly  ASPIRE 2A Introductory Workshop, NSCC Singapore experts guided participants through the overall system setup and basic operations such as user enrolment, creation of PBS job submission scripts and loading of environment modules. 

Complementing this, our ASPIRE 2A+ Introductory Workshop provided dedicated, hands-on training for the ASPIRE 2A+ architecture. This month’s session focused heavily on mastering the specific login node configurations, storage frameworks, and workflow optimization strategies. 

After both sessions, participants from both sessions were equipped with fully activated accounts and the practical skills needed to independently deploy workloads on the system.
