NSCC Singapore strives for products and services with the highest levels of security and reliability.

NSCC Singapore kicked off the new year with two introductory training workshops in January, aimed at onboarding new users and supporting the growing high performance computing (HPC) community on the ASPIRE 2A and ASPIRE 2A+ supercomputers.
These sessions play a key role in ensuring researchers—including awardees from the 6th Call for Projects—are well prepared to leverage national supercomputing resources as they begin their research cycles.
The ASPIRE 2A Introductory Workshop welcomed 36 participants for a practical session covering system access, onboarding workflows and core HPC tasks. Participants learned to perform core tasks such as transferring files, compiling programs, and submitting job requests – key skills that help researchers make the most of their compute allocations from day one.
An introductory workshop for the ASPIRE 2A+ system was also held, introducing users to the system’s architecture, configuration of login nodes, storage tiers and software environment. Participants were guided through onboarding and job submission using the PBS Professional job scheduler, alongside best practices for managing workloads and Service Unit (SU) management.
Through these foundational workshops, NSCC Singapore continues its commitment to lowering the barriers to HPC adoption and enabling researchers to optimise their workloads. By combining technical guidance with practical learning, NSCC Singapore empowers users across various disciplines to fully leverage Singapore’s supercomputers.
