NSCC’s Calls for Projects play an important role in helping Singapore’s research community access national supercomputing resources to scale ambitious ideas, accelerate discovery, and tackle more complex computational challenges.
As part of the 7th Call for Projects taking place this month, we hosted a briefing session to share an overview of the Strategic Resource Allocation Policy and share practical approaches to smarter resource planning.
This included the “Test, Multiply, Buffer”method designed to support more accurate estimation. Participants were encouraged to run small benchmark tests, extrapolate the results to projected annual workloads, and factor in a 10% contingency buffer to better determine their overall resource requirements.

The 7th Call for Projects has officially closed. Applicants should take note of the following key dates:
- Notification of Application Results: 2 June 2026 onwards
- Resource Allocation Period: 1 July 2026 onwards
