Open Calls from Japanese HPCI<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"The Research Organization for Information Science & Technology (RIST), Japan is opening up calls for proposals that require high performance computing (HPC) resources. The resources are available via Japan’s HPC infrastructure (HPCI), which is a shared computational environment that connects the major supercomputers as well as storages in Japan via high-speed networks (SINET5).\u00a0 For more details on the available project calls, please refer to the Open Calls from Japanese HPCI <\/a>announcement.<\/p>\n

1. Urgent Call for Fighting against COVID-19<\/strong>
\n\u30fb Available resource: See the appendix table (*Note* Fugaku is not included) in the Open Calls from Japanese HPCI <\/a>.
\n\u30fb Duration: Up to six months until the end of March 2021
\n\u30fb Usage charge: None
\n\u30fb Proposal Submission: Call issued on April 15, 2020 and is open until further notice.

2. Call for Proposals for Fugaku Preliminary Use Projects in FY 2020<\/strong>
\n\u30fb Available resource: RIKEN R-CCS Supercomputer Fugaku.
\n\u30fb Duration: Up to six months until the end of March 2021
\n\u30fb Usage charge: None
\n\u30fb Proposal Submission: Call will open at beginning of October 2020 (scheduled) and be open until further notice.

3. Call for proposals for research projects using the HPCI System in FY2021<\/strong>
\nThe shared use of the supercomputer Fugaku is scheduled to start in Japanese Fiscal Year 2021. This call is targeted towards projects promising to yield achievements using the computational
\nresources of the HPCI system as well as the flagship system Fugaku in FY 2021.
