Local COVID-19 related research projects will be given special fast-tracked access to supercomputing resources at the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore to speed up research on the virus. This could include deeper studies about the virus genome and potential new therapies or vaccines. Read more about the Special COVID-19 Call for Projects in the NSCC Media Release.


This year’s challenge saw four international teams emerge with accolades for developing uniquely innovative solutions for specific components, each of which are crucial in ensuring the seamless transfer of large amounts of research data across the globe. 11 – 14 March 2019 – SupercomputingAsia 2019, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre 

More than 700 research and industry delegates attended SupercomputingAsia 2019 in Singapore from 11 to 14 March 2019! This year’s event saw researchers and industry sharing ideas at insightful workshops and seminars, network with the who’s who in supercomputing, and showcase the best that supercomputing and high performance computing has to offer.

A $200 million boost to further develop the field of supercomputing in Singapore was announced by Guest of Honour, Mr Heng Swee Kiat, Minister for Finance & Chairman of The National Research Foundation at the opening ceremony of SCA19.
